General Hospital star Kristina Wagner, who plays Felicia Scorpio, has been turning in terrific performances as Felicia's daughter, Maxie, has been going through a big medical crisis. Now, Wagner is sharing a heartfelt message to and about her real-life child, her son, Peter.
General Hospital, a mother's love
"Happy 35th Birthday, Peter," Wagner began her Instagram post, honoring her firstborn on the anniversary of his birth. She chose a photo of Peter when he was young enough to sit upon her shoulders.
"You have been a great big brother and a wonderful son," the actress added, "You fill my heart with love every day just by being you." Wagner added an emoji of a heart and a balloon to her post.
Wagner's soap pals weighed in with positive responses. "Just such a beautiful photo of the two of you," wrote Finola Hughes (Anna). Wagner and Hughes have known each other for 40 years, as Hughes joined GH the year after Wagner did.
Wagner and her former husband, Jack Wagner (ex-Frisco; Jack, The Bold and the Beautiful), are parents to both Peter and the late Harrison, who passed away on June 6, 2022. The Wagners' romance played out both on-screen and in the soap opera magazines in the 1980s and 1990s.
Felicia's road to love

Kristina Wagner has come and gone from GH over the years, but her only soap opera home has been the ABC serial (outside of some guest spots on GH's sister soap, Port Charles). Jack Wagner has appeared on numerous soaps, including Santa Barbara (as Warren Lockridge), The Bold and the Beautiful (as Nick Marone), and Melrose Place (as Dr. Peter Burns).
In 2013, during GH's 50th anniversary, the show addressed the long-running on-again/off-again relationship between Frisco and Felicia. Despite Frisco serenading his love with a tune at the Nurses Ball, Felicia opted to choose Mac (John J. York)!
After holding various titles in Port Charles over the years, Felicia joined General Hospital as a patient advocate. Felicia has a long history with the hospital. It's where Maxie underwent her life-saving heart surgery in the 1990s when she needed a new heart. Tragically, her cousin, B.J. (Brighton Hertford), was declared brain dead after a school bus accident, and her heart was donated to Maxie.
Felicia's brother-in-law, Dr. Tony Jones (Brad Maule), B.J.'s dad, worked at GH for years until his passing in 2006 from encephalitis.
