General Hospital star Michael Easton has a big announcement to make

General Hospital alum Michael Easton left the daytime scene about a year and a half ago when his character, Finn, went off to rehab. Since then, he's moved to Seattle, where he was reunited with his daughter, Violet. But what about the actor who plays Finn?

"Back from sabbatical and stopped by the studio of my buddy @jacksondavisphoto," Easton shared on Instagram along with some new photographs of himself, which were taken by his photographer pal. "This guy is so talented [that] he even got me to smile."

Easton's pals have signed off on the actor's new shots. "You look 🔥," raved Nancy Lee Grahn (Alexis). Added Rebecca Budig (ex-Hayden, GH; now, Taylor on The Bold and the Beautiful): "Beautiful smile. Beautiful photos ❤️."

"Even the best deserve some much-needed RnR! 👊🏼," posted Greg Vaughan (Eric, Days of our Lives). Easton replied: "Thank you for the kind words, Greg. Be well, brother."

As a headshot is an actor's calling card, it only makes sense to speculate that Easton may be ready to go back to work. And wouldn't any of the five daytime soaps be lucky to get him? But on which show could he go?

There's always the chance that Easton could reprise his role as Finn on GH. He could revisit his brother Chase (Joshua Swickard) and the woman he was involved with, Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst). Finn's a doctor, so he'd have no trouble finding work at General Hospital.

What about checking into The Young and the Restless? The hour-long CBS soap is certainly open to hiring actors with GH credits! Recently, Tamara Braun (ex-Kim, ex-Carly) and Roger Howarth (ex-Franco; ex-Austin; ex-Todd) joined Y&R as, respectively, Sienna and Matt. Easton would fit in well with the cast, and he and a new character could be added to any of the show's ongoing stories.

What about Beyond the Gates? It's not uncommon for a new soap to add faces that are familiar to soap fans during its first few years. Reportedly, Vaughan is set to join the show in a role later this year.

Easton started his soap opera career playing Tanner Scofield on Days of our Lives. Tanner and Molly (Shannon Sturges) left town together in the early 1990s, just before James E. Reilly's stories exploded, skyrocketing DAYS to the top of the ratings!
