General Hospital star Natalia Livingston spent years in Port Charles as Emily Bowen Quartermaine. She lives a very different life now outside of Los Angeles. The Daytime Emmy-winning star is recalling her memories of the late, great Anthony Geary, who played Luke Spencer. General Hospital, remembering Anthony Geary View this post on Instagram Instagram Post"I can’t say that I knew Tony well. I wish I had. He still influenced my life in immeasurable ways," Livingston shared on Instagram. "I was fortunate enough to work with him and Ty [Tyler Christopher, ex-Nikolas] together. They were both quick-witted and loved to banter. Rehearsals were light, just as entertaining as the scenes we were performing, and so much fun."Tony would warmly call me 'kid,'" the actress recalls. "Hi, kid. Morning kid. It was endearing. I always looked forward to that greeting and was often struck by the effortless kindness in his eyes."I’ll never forget one interaction in particular," she recollects. "I walked by the green room and noticed that Tony was there alone, watching a scene I had done on TV. It was opposite the great @sebastianroche [ex-Julian] right after Emily’s father [Alan, played by Stuart Damon] was killed. Tony was a few inches from the screen and seemed to be watching closely. "Just at the very end, I walked in," Livingston adds. "What Tony said that day gave me a confidence I had never known. He made me see that I wasn’t just a part of the show. I wasn’t just on the show. I was a contributor to it."A different world, away from General HospitalGreg Vaughan, Natalia Livingston, and Ric Hearst on General Hospital | Image: JPI"I’ve been a stay-at-home mom now for over 7 years," says Livingston, who played both Emily and her twin, Rebecca, on GH. "There is no doubt in my mind that it’s where I want to be at this moment in my life..."In a follow-up response, the actress shares, "I loved remembering what Tony used to say about Amsterdam. His life there. It helped me to be more present in my life away from Hollywood. It helped me focus on what is truly important in this life."About a year ago, I stumbled onto Tony’s husband @claudiogama_71 Claudio’s Instagram," Livingston adds. "It’s now one of the only pages I actively follow. It reminds me of the beauty of family and simple pleasures in life. I’d marvel at Claudio and his weekly routines. Going to the market, cooking for his family, doing laundry, spending time with Tony and their cat Max, needlepointing, looking out the window, and watching the rain...I was so happy for Tony and so inspired by the life he built for himself.""Often, you don’t know how you affect someone’s life," Livingston muses. "Tony never knew how influential he has been in my life. I’m hoping somehow somewhere he’ll sense it, though. My deepest sympathies go out to Claudio, Max, and all those that knew and loved him. Thank you, Tony. Love, 'Kid.'" Catch all-new episodes of General Hospital weekdays on ABC and Hulu.
