On General Hospital, Jordan Ashford is celebrating cushy new digs that come with her lucrative new job, but off-screen, Tanisha Harper has something else to celebrate — it's her birthday.
Happy birthday, Tanisha Haper
Tanisha Harper was born on September 18, 1981, in Tokyo, Japan, but was raised in the southwest United States. She began her modeling career at the tender age of 15 when she was discovered by the Ford Modeling Agency while at a Phoenix, AZ shopping mall.
While appearing in numerous fashion magazines, including Elle, InStyle, Cosmopolitan, and Vanity Fair, Harper attended and graduated from the University of Arizona. Her modeling career soon led to screen appearances, including as a contestant on the sixth season of Project Runway.
In 2005, Harper made her daytime debut on an appropriate soap when she played a Spectra model on The Bold and the Beautiful. Five years later, she portrayed a Forrester model on the fashion soap.
Through the years, Harper has landed roles in various other movies and TV shows, including Forgetting Sarah Marshall, Something New, and Hacks.
Harper's General Hospital life
In 2022, Harper landed her first soap opera contract role when she was cast as Jordan Ashford on General Hospital, taking over for Briana Nicole Henry. As Jordan, Harper plays a no-nonsense former cop, deputy mayor, and DEA agent who now works undercover for Jenz Sidwell (Carlo Rota). She also seems to be liking her new job and the money it brings just a little too much.
While Jordan hasn't had too much luck with love in recent years, she enjoyed a brief fling with Portia's (Brook Kerr) brother, Zeke Robinson (Gavin Houston). Sadly, her romance with Isaiah Gannon (Sawandi Wilson) fizzled out when she took the job with Sidwell, but Isaiah blames the breakup on Jordan's feelings for her ex-husband, Curtis (Donnell Turner)
Isaiah may have a point, as Jordan and Curtis haven't been able to get each other out of their system since their hasty divorce several years ago. Currently, Curtis is starting to admit to Jordan that he may have made a big mistake when he chose to end their marriage. We can't wait to see Harper's reaction as Jordan if Curtis ends up reuniting with Portia.
