Whenever General Hospital legends Maurice Benard, Kin Shriner, and Marcus Coloma get together on social media, the result is usually a hilarious gathering of the greats. They’ve done many videos in the past, probably the funniest of which was their Star Trek spoof. Recently, they got together again, and what started as a casual chat quickly spiraled into a lively mix of nostalgia, hilarious movie impressions, Old Hollywood stories, and a playful showdown over who boasts the best arms in the business. The trio’s unfiltered banter gave fans everything from heartfelt tributes to Jackie Zeman to flex-offs that could rival any gym, making the conversation one for the books.

Remembering Jacklyn Zeman

On Instagram, General Hospital’s Maurice Benard wrote, “What can I say? This is just a lot of fun.” After some finagling, Shriner and Coloma appeared together in front of the camera in a split screen with Benard. Benard explained that he didn’t really know late star Jacklyn Zeman, who played the inimitable Bobbie Spencer on the soap, until he had her on his YouTube talk show, State of Mind. He referred to her as “an unbelievable person,” and then remarked that “Kin is also an unbelievable person.” Throughout the video, they answered fan questions, and at one point, Shriner mentioned that Benard would be re-posting the SOM episode with Zeman, which also had Shriner on. (Find out about Coloma’s hilarious birthday present for Shriner.

Benard explained that that particular episode was, “The coolest two hours out of all my State of Minds.” That got them reminiscing about the beloved General Hospital actress. He stated that both Shriner and Zeman looked and dressed great on that episode, reminding him of Old Hollywood. Shriner chimed in with, “I remember it well and, with Jackie, you know, and I thought, ‘Oh, this is kind of a Mickey Mouse setup,’” because he and Zeman had to share the same chair. He continued, “But you know Jackie always…dressed well,” adding, “We all miss her, and that was a lot of fun that day…talking about the GH Heyday.”

Old Hollywood and triceps

At one point, the trio talked further about Old Hollywood. Shriner noted, “I grew up in Hollywood. I ran around Hollywood. I'm here. I have Hollywood stories.” While they were discussing famous movie quotes, Coloma could be seen in the background, hilariously flexing his arms. After letting out a belly laugh, Benard stated, “Dude, your triceps are freaking good, man.” Coloma replied, “Thanks, bro,” and Benard asked him to flex again.

Shriner weakly tried to show off his arms, and Benard asked Coloma how long he’d been working on his triceps, to which the former General Hospital star hilariously replied, “I’ve been working on this for the last 35 years, man.” Benard got in the action, showing off his triceps, which he admitted were smaller than they used to be, and hysterically noting, “These people probably think we’re crazy, bro.”

But the fans loved every minute of it with @sxfmama2008 commenting, “Love this! So happy to see you all back together. Needed the laughs.” And @stdipiet referred to Coloma and Shriner’s recent video characters, with the response, “Thank you so much for having my two favorite detectives on.” (See what Coloma said about his General Hospital exit.)
