General Hospital fans still miss Adam Huss’ iteration of Nikolas Cassadine, and continue to wonder when the heck he’ll be returning. Beyond Port Charles, he’s built a career spanning film and stage, appeared on some fan favorite primetime TV shows, and has been balancing roles in independent projects as well. Known for his versatility and down-to-earth charm, Huss continues to carve out his place in an unpredictable yet rewarding industry. He recently shared some thoughts with fans, reflecting on his journey, and opened up about the surprising perspective he’s gained along the way.
Finding Gratitude in the Grind
General Hospital’s Adam Huss wrote on Instagram, “Huge shout out to all the people who’ve hired me these last few months, to all the indie producers and directors who I’ve gotten to collaborate with (and are getting to see the fruits of those labors now as these projects come out!), and to all the amazing cast and crews I’ve gotten the privilege to play with!! Major gratitude at a time that still feels like a hamster wheel rat race in this crazy biz!” Alicia Leigh Willis, who formerly played Courtney on GH, enthusiastically commented, “You’re a rockstar!”
He also included a video with his post, in which he stated, “Okay, just taking a real quick moment here to say, the last couple months in this town business-wise have been absolutely insane. Rat race, Nonstop. Not just always working hard to get the next job, but also in this month I've got three great projects in a row that are really fulfilling.” He stated that he didn’t want to disparage any of his other roles and continued, “I'm grateful for everyone, even the smaller roles, but, like, the last three weeks have been really fulfilling work like comedies, drama.”
Juggling Pilots and Projects

The General Hospital actor continued by stating that the current TV pilot he’s working in is hilarious. He noted that people often comment that he seems to be “working all the time, and I am so grateful for that. But it is a hamster wheel right now, like constant.” He noted that his work has been quite a bit, and finished off by thanking his fans for their loving support. “But when it all comes together and you get to do what you love, I just feel so fulfilled and happy,” he said, adding, “So I'm sending major gratitude to all the people who've hired me and major gratitude to all the people that I get to work with. So thank you so much.”
Actress Brittany Underwood chimed in with, “You are so loved and appreciated!! Happy for the opportunities that have been coming to you, my friend!” Many people who’ve worked with Huss expressed how much they enjoyed working with him. And Huss’ longtime collaborator, Ale Fumero Gil, commented, “Awesome to meet you and work with you, man 💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻 let’s do the premiere.”
General Hospital can be seen weekdays on ABC and Hulu.
