Team Michael or Team Drew? General Hospital fans choose sides in custody war

On General Hospital, the battle lines have been drawn between Michael (Rory Gibson) and Drew (Cameron Mathison) and Willow (Katelyn MacMullen). Drew seems to be manipulating Willow, and can do no wrong in her eyes. While the judge’s decision over which parent Wiley (Viron Weaver) and Amelia will be with full time, fans gave their two cents about which parent they’re rooting for.

Drew and Willow’s confidence could be good for Michael

The clip of Michael informing Carly (Laura Wright), Sonny (Maurice Benard), and Jason (Steve Burton) that he’s taking Wiley and Amelia and leaving the country was posted to the official General Hospital Instagram page. He’s making a command decision because the court proceeding didn’t look like it would bode well for him. The post was captioned, “Michael won’t let his kids anywhere near Drew... no matter what the court decides. @rory_gibson @welcometolaurasworld @mauricebenard @1steveburton #GH #GeneralHospital.”

Fans joined in the comments, sharing their true feelings about whether they sided with Michael or Drew/Willow. @sydney_gambrell17 had an optimistic viewpoint with the response, “The fact that Michael is worried he’s gonna lose, and that Willow and Drew are so confident they’re gonna win just proves the opposite is gonna happen!!” Another fan, @poshhippymama, shared the obvious solution that many were thinking by writing, “Sasha needs to tell Willow and Michael that Drew and Nina were sleeping together. Especially after Nina exposed her baby-daddy secret.”

Many fans didn’t hold back with @miltavargas1962 replying, “Michael for the win!!!!,” and sanmandaughter sharing, “Michael all the way.” @ghsundayshift had the insightful reaction: “Michael is the only person in Willow’s life who didn’t lie to her and manipulate her. Good luck in DC without your kids, girl.” The Washington, DC reference was because Drew became a congressman and has contemplated moving to the capital with Willow and her kids.

The General Hospital fans in favor of Michael continued to overwhelm the feed, as @jen_g1024 excitedly commented, “Team Michael!!!!!” Illustrating that the show is doing something right, @charleneostbloom responded with the thoughtful comment, “As much as I dislike the Drew/Willow storyline, the writers have me hook, line, and sinker. I haven’t been this invested in GH in a long time. Well done! Michael and the kids for the win!”

Drew recently set things up so that Wiley would overhear him saying that now that Michael has a new baby with Sasha (Sofia Mattsson), he has no use for his other kids anymore. This was a new low that Congressman Cutthroat has stooped to, and @crystalyvonnejackson boldly showed what side they were on with, “I wouldn't let Drew near any child after that stunt he pulled.”
