Ingo Rademacher to make short-term GH return

Just in time for a new year, Ingo Rademacher will reprise his role as General Hospital's Jasper Jacks for several weeks. Rademacher revealed earlier this year that he had been fired from the show.

Ingo Rademacher (Jasper "Jax" Jacks) is headed back to Port Charles. It may only be for a short period of time, but Rademacher hints that fans may see more of his alter ego when 2012 rolls around.

"I have a great story on GH for about 3 weeks. I'll get you all air dates as we get closer," Rademacher posted on Twitter "And hopefully Jax' will be popping his head in periodically throughout 2012."

After nearly 15 years with General Hospital, Rademacher announced in May that he had been fired from the ABC soap. The announcement came after several months of hints that the actor was noticing his on-screen time diminishing.

"Don't expect to see me much on GH. Once a week seems to [be] the norm for me... if that," Rademacher posted at the time. "I must have peed in the pool and was fresh out of chlorine. Sorry guys. I don't know what to tell you. It's not my call."

Rademacher joined General Hospital in January 1996. He exited the show in August 2000 to pursue an opportunity on the primetime soap Titans, but the series quickly folded. A year later, Rademacher returned to Port Charles, and he's been a part of the cast ever since.

The good news also extends beyond the professional. Rademacher also revealed that his family will soon be expanding.

"And yes, we are expecting No. 2," Rademacher announced. "I can't wait to be number 3 on my wife's favorite people list. :-)"

Rademacher and his wife are already the proud parents of a three-year-old son, Peanut Kai.

A General Hospital would not confirm Rademacher's return at this time.
