OLTL and GH alum Kristen Alderson makes life-changing decision

Soap opera alum Kristen Alderson (ex-Kiki Jerome, General Hospital; ex-Starr Manning, One Life to Live) is leaving Tinsletown behind. Is she also leaving her real-life boyfriend, Chad Duell (Michael Corinthos, GH), behind, as well?

Former soap star Kristen Alderson (ex-Kiki Jerome, General Hospital; ex-Starr Manning, One Life to Live) has announced that she's leaving behind the glitz and glamour of Hollywood -- but does it mean she's leaving her real-life boyfriend, Chad Duell (Michael Corinthos, GH), and her career as an actress behind, as well?

Alderson, who left her home states of Pennsylvania and New York when OLTL finished production in 2011 and has since lived in Los Angeles both during and after her GH run, announced on social media that she is moving onward and upward. "Goodbye LA & to a beautiful chapter in my life," she tweeted. "I'll always love you @duelly87 thank you for being my best friend."

Alderson's tweet has sparked rumors that she and Duell, who have been dating since 2012, have split up. However, that news has yet to be confirmed.

As fans may recall, Alderson played her former OLTL role of Starr on GH before the character was tangled up in a lawsuit and her role was changed to Kiki. The actress played Kiki from 2013 to 2015 then decided not to renew her contract and to focus on her personal life and other projects instead.

UPDATE (October 29, 2015)
Alderson has confirmed that she and Duell have ended their relationship. For more on that, click here.
