The Ghost and the Whale, starring GH's Maurice Benard, now available on Amazon

General Hospital star Maurice Benard's (Sonny Corinthos) haunting new film, The Ghost and the Whale, is now available for viewing on Amazon.

If you're ready for a whale of a good time, then you'll want to check out the new suspense film starring General Hospital star Maurice Benard (Sonny Corinthos).

Titled The Ghost and the Whale, the Gaudioso twins-directed film follows the story of Joseph (Benard), a man with bipolar disorder who went to sea with the love of his life and returned alone with a story about how a whale killed his beautiful Annabel Lee. The mystery deepens upon Joseph's exoneration in her disappearance, while a reporter stirs the pot of suspicion and the wrath of a vengeful family.

"Remember to leave your review after watching," Benard tweeted along with the news that the project, executive produced by his wife, Paula, and also starring James Gaudioso, Jonathan Pryce, Madeleine Hamer, and Monica Keena, is now available for rent and for purchase on Amazon.

As fans may recall, Benard began filming The Ghost and the Whale back in 2013. Before starting work on the film, he told Soaps In Depth that he hoped the project would help break him out of the soap world. "We all know it's tough, especially when you've been on a soap for as long as I have," he said. "In terms of trying to break out, nobody really cares about soaps. Within the soap world, it's the greatest job in the world. But for me, it will be tough unless somebody gives me that break. I believe that this film is that break."
