Briana Nicole Henry (Jordan Ashford, General Hospital) reveals that she and her husband, Kris Bowers, are on the mend following coronavirus diagnoses shortly after Thanksgiving.

Fans are sending well wishes to General Hospital star Briana Nicole Henry (Jordan Ashford), who revealed in an Instagram post that she and her husband, Kris Bowers, recently tested positive for COVID-19 and are currently on the mend.

"Kris and I have been recovering from Covid-19 since a few days after Thanksgiving," the actress shares. "Although some symptoms linger, we're both so grateful that it seems as though, unlike for over a million others, we will make a full and healthy recovery."

Her lengthy post goes on to explain that while quarantining, she has had a lot of time to examine all of the different thoughts going on in her mind. Some of those are how thankful she is that she married a "kind and thoughtful" man; how wonderful it felt to have "constant loyalty" from her dog, Marlee, when she was feverish, achy, and sobbing during her sickness; and her gratitude to the friends, colleagues, family, old friends, and fans who "reached out to remind us we were loved and being thought of. I will keep that love for a lonely day."

Unfortunately, Henry isn't the only soap opera star who has had firsthand experience with COVID-19. As Soap Central previously reported, several daytime favorites have developed the virus since the pandemic began in early 2020. At GH, stars Chloe Lanier (Nelle Benson), Paulina Bugembe (Valerie Spencer), and Emma Samms (Holly Sutton) all reported that they struggled with COVID early on in the pandemic.

The Young and the Restless' Greg Rikaart (Kevin Fisher) was one of the first soap actors to test positive for COVID-19, having developed the virus back in March. Jordi Vilasuso (Rey Rosales) and his family were next, sharing in April that they had also developed the virus. In early November, Donny Boaz (Chance Chancellor) tested positive for COVID and was temporarily recast with actor Justin Gaston, the real-life husband of Melissa Ordway (Abby Newman).
