Is the wicked Helena Cassadine returning for one last hurrah? It would seem so, though the details of the return are a little hard to come by.
Here's what we know.
Last week, a post popped up on a Facebook page purported to be the official page of actress Constance Towers (Helena Cassadine) with an announcement that Towers had recently filmed a couple of episodes of General Hospital. Those episodes are slated to air during May Sweeps.
An earlier post mentioned that the page was maintained by Towers' social media team.
A General Hospital spokesperson would not comment on Towers' reported return nor would they confirm the authenticity of the Facebook page.
It's been nearly eight years since Helena died, but Towers has made several returns since then -- including newly created flashbacks and nightmares. The last time Helena appeared on-screen was January 2022, when a video message from Helena played during Luke Spencer's memorial service. Midway through the video, Laura yanked the television's power cord out of the wall, and the remainder of Helena's message never played. Fans have been questioning what else might have been in the message ever since.
Towers' return dates, according to the Facebook post, were slated for Friday, May 5, and Monday, May 8. Due to a preemption those dates would now be Monday, May 8 and Tuesday, May 9.
