Grab your tissues because Wednesday, January 10 will kick off a two-day tribute to General Hospital's Jacklyn Zeman, who played Nurse Barbara Jean "Bobbie" Spencer for 45 years. Sadly, Zeman passed away in May 2022 after a short battle with cancer.
While the two episodes will focus on the impact that Jackie Zeman had on the show's history playing Bobbie Spencer and ushering in the legendary Spencer family, the writers have a few surprises up their sleeves for viewers. One of those surprises will be a little adventure for Bobbie's daughter Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) and Bobbie's close friend Felicia Scorpio (Kristina Wagner) that will take them to Amsterdam, where Bobbie had been settling her beloved brother Luke Spencer's (Tony Geary) affairs when she unexpectedly passed away in her sleep.
Luke reportedly perished in a cable car accident in December 2021 while visiting Innsbruck, Austria. Viewers later learned that the "accident" had been orchestrated by Victor Cassadine (Charles Shaughnessy) and that the authorities had confirmed Luke's death through DNA testing. Bobbie had always questioned the circumstances of Luke's demise and if her brother was truly dead.
On Thursday, January 11 an unexpected guest will make an appearance at Bobbie’s funeral. Soap Opera Digest is reporting that Ellie Darcy-Alden will be making her daytime debut as Cornelia. Eagle-eyed viewers -- and fans of the Harry Potter movie series -- will recognize the actress as a young Lily Potter (née Evans) -- Harry's mother.
Additionally, Elise Robertson has been cast as Famke, who Carly and Felicia will encounter in Amsterdam. Robertson has appeared in episodes of Six Feet Under, Grey's Anatomy, True Blood, The Mentalist, and several other primetime shows.
