The countdown for the much-anticipated return of Steve Burton as Jason Morgan has begun. Steve Burton shares an exciting update about when General Hospital viewers can expect to see his alter ego back on-screen.

Ever since ABC announced the return of Steve Burton to General Hospital during their primetime special on ABC in early January 2024, daytime viewers have been eager to know when they can expect to see Jason Morgan rise from the ashes of the tunnel collapse on Cassadine Island that is believed to have claimed Jason's life. There's good news to report because Burton has shared an exciting update.

It started with General Hospital's official social media accounts offering a first look photo of the actor back on the set of Volonino's gym, with the caption, "Look who's back in the ring! Steve Burton has officially returned to Port Charles... and that's all we can tell you (for now). #GH"

A short time later, Burton appeared in a video posted on the Daily Drama's YouTube channel where he could be seen walking past the nurses' station as he admits that it's "crazy" to him to be back on set. He goes on to tease, "We're getting ready to shoot right now. So, listen, I got to talk to the head writers. This story is going to be sick. It's gonna be awesome. So, make sure you keep watching because the pieces of the puzzle are gonna be fit for when I return. And that return date, that air date, it is March 4th. Stay tuned. Keep watching. And, if you stopped, get back, because it's gonna be awesome."

It should be noted that Burton is wearing Jason's signature black T-shirt in the video, and he was sporting something new -- a silver necklace and pendant. Could it be a clue? Hit the comments section and tell us what you think.
