Funeral Home:
Friends and family gathered together to say goodbye to Chloe. Sonny and Jax came face to face and almost came to blows. Ned pulled Jax back. Sonny had made a remark about another one Jax couldn't protect. Stefan went to pay his respects to Chloe but was met with a very chilly reception. The Quartermaines wouldn't let him anywhere near. He tried to tell them he didn't hurt Chloe but they obviously didn't believe him. About the only one that does believe that he didn't kill Chloe is Alexis. Ned told her she should have known Stefan wouldn't be welcome there. She told Stefan to wait for her while she said goodbyes for both of them. He wanted to go after his mother and kill her. She went in and talked to Chloe, telling her about the sister she found and she knew Chloe would like her. She said Chloe was like a sister to her. When she came looking for Stefan he had left. In another room was Sorel's casket and Angel and Sonny had paid their respects to him. Carly and Angel had words and little did they know Mac was listening in as he had actually bugged the casket. Mac and Taggert let it be known that someone mentioned seeing Carly the night of Sorel's murder. She assumed Angel had said something but found out it was AJ so went storming into the other room to confront AJ Nikolas and Liz showed up, as well as Gia. Nikolas actually sounded like he sympathized with Stefan but when Stefan suggested that Nikolas knew he didn't kill Chloe, Nikolas said he knew no such thing.

Deception:
Lucky was telling Laura that "HE" was alive and wanted her, Laura. Laura tried to get him to tell her who "HE" was but Lucky just rambled on about the monster still being alive and was after all of them. Laura wanted Lucky to see Kevin again but Lucky said there was nothing he could do. He left and Laura was alone when she heard a noise. She went to investigate but found only Scott. Stavros was lurking around with a bottle of port and listened into their conversation. Scott was apologizing to Laura. Stavros was making comments about Scott to himself. Scott wanted to know what he could do and Laura mentioned getting the flowers from Lucien something; she couldn't remember his last name. They left together and Stavros went into Laura's office and left the bottle with a note.

Lab:
Lucky went to the lab that he claimed to Laura to know nothing about. He saw Stavros' supply of wine in the chamber he had been in not too long ago. He was looking around and found the antitoxin tube. He was holding it when one of Helena's goons came in and said he wasn't supposed to be there alone. Lucky held up the tube and the guy backed off, saying he was going to get Helena. Lucky put the tube in with the wine bottles.
Earlier in the evening Stavros - who can be amusing at times -- had been getting ready to go see Laura. He picked out a bottle of port and left, doing a little dance on the way to the elevator.

Docks:
Gia came upon Nikolas sitting alone and crying. He wants to get back to the way things were and quit pretending to be back as a Cassadine. He hated hurting Stefan and Gia.

Due to the horrible tragedies befalling our nation today, all soap operas were pre-empted today. Presumably all network programming will resume tomorrow with no episodes lost.

Soap Opera Central would like to extend our deepest, heart-felt sympathies to any and all persons affected by these horrific events.

Wednesday, September 12, 2001

Due to continuing news coverage of yesterday's attacks against The United States, all regular daytime network broadcasts have been put on hold. Therefore, no soaps will be shown today. It is unclear when programming will resume as normal. However, Soap Opera Central will remain on deck and provide complete coverage as soon as we are able.

Again, the thoughts and prayers of all those involved in Soap Opera Central -- our staffers and visitors -- go out to everyone touched by these horrors.

At this time, one may find comfort in the words of Agnes Nixon, a profilic soap opera scribe and creator of All My Children and One Life to Live.

Speaking of the "kinship of humankind under God," Nixon writes:

The great and the least
The weak and the strong
The rich and the poor
In sickness and health
In joy and sorrow
In tragedy and triumph
You are All My Children

Friday, September 14, 2001

Due to continuing coverage of the attacks against America, all daytime programming has been pre-empted. It is anticipated that regular broadcasts will resume on Monday, September 17th with a rebroadcast of this past Monday's episode. All networks have pledged that there will be no lost episodes. By rebroadcasting Monday's episode, that will allow the shows to be back on the correct day for each broadcast. Stay tuned to Soap Opera Central for complete details.
