We need more love in the afternoon on General Hospital. With all the kidnappings, explosions, blackmailing, framing, and baby-stalking going on in Port Charles, we feel suffocated by doom and gloom. Where's the romance? Sure, we have Carly (Laura Wright) and Brennan (Chris McKenna) — at least until she finds out he put her daughter Josslyn (Eden McCoy) in the WSB. We also have Brook Lynn (Amanda Setton) and Chase (Josh Swickard), but there are at least three triangles that would be great to see, if only the writers would go there.
Jason, Britt, and Liz

Let's face it, Jason (Steve Burton) needs a woman. He's been alone ever since he returned to General Hospital in March of 2024. Before he was presumed dead, he and Britt (Kelly Thiebaud) were on the verge of developing a relationship until he decided to marry Carly (Laura Wright). Now that Britt has returned and Carly is involved with Brennan (Chris McKenna), JaBritt fans will finally get the couple they've wanted.
But years ago, Jason and Liz (Rebecca Herbst) had feelings for each other, and Liason fans have long been clamoring for them to reunite. So why not have Jason torn between Britt and Liz? He never got a true shot with either woman. Which one would he gravitate to more strongly?
This triangle would incite a war between the JaBritt and Liason fans, which may in turn boost the show's ratings. Plus, the message boards would be on fire! But the biggest perk about a Jason/Britt/Liz triangle is that Carly would pitch a fit knowing that Jason is romantically entangled with two women, and she isn't one of them.
Dante, Chase, and Brook Lynn

Sure, Brook Lynn and Chase are happily married right now. But in soap land, marital bliss rarely lasts forever. Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) and Brook Lynn are trying to figure out how to forge a parental bond with their son, Gio (Giovanni Mazza). Some fans would love to see them grow closer in the process. This, of course, would throw a monkey wrench into Chase's and Dante's friendship, not to mention their partnership as cops. It could destroy both their personal and professional relationship. And Chase would feel like he's experiencing deja vu, since his ex-wife Willow (Katelyn MacMullen) cheated on him with his other friend Michael (then-Chad Duell). This is the messy stuff soaps are made of!
Bonus: This triangle would make Lulu (Alexa Havins) furious since she is still in love with Dante, and she hates Brook Lynn.
Curtis, Portia, and Nina

Nina hasn't been involved with anyone since her divorce from Sonny a year and a half ago, except for her sexcapades with Drew (Cameron Mathison). Curtis (Donnell Turner) and Portia (Brook Kerr) don't know where their marriage is headed after all the secrets she's kept from him that involved Drew blackmailing her. He's always been close friends with Nina (Cynthia Watros), and the two pals have always felt comfortable confiding in each other. Some fans would like to see their friendship blossom into something more.
This would be an interesting triangle for two reasons. First, Portia suspects Jordan (Tanisha Harper), Curtis' ex-wife, of making moves on him, which makes it possible that Portia wouldn't see a Nina and Curtis pairing coming. Also, Portia and Nina have become friends themselves as a result of their mutual hatred of Drew. If Nina and Curtis became attracted to each other, Portia's friendship with Nina would go out the window.
Even if the writers only pursued one of these triangles, it would be a refreshing change since none of them have ever happened on General Hospital before.
