Last week on General Hospital, Mabel, the president of the HOA of Anna's (Finola Hughes) building, made it clear that Anna needs to find another home for the constantly barking Outback, the cute beagle Emma (Braedyn Bruner) and Gio (Giovanni Mazza) found in the park and brought home. It's still unclear whether Outback originally came from Professor Dalton's (Daniel Goddard) lab and is one of the animals he's supposedly experimenting on. But what we do know is that we feel bad for poor Outback, because the pooch needs a new home. Which one of the Port Charles residents could be her forever owner? Here are two possibilities:
Maxie and Spinelli
On General Hospital, Maxie (Kirsten Storms) and Spinelli (Bradford Anderson) live in a house not part of an HOA, so they don't need to worry about any rules that prohibit dogs. Maxie's young son, James (Gary James Fuller), would probably love to have a dog. We can easily picture James and Cody (Josh Kelly) playing with Outback, taking her for walks, and maybe having her interact with the horses at Cody's stable on the Quartermaine grounds. Plus, the good-natured Spinelli and Georgie (Lily Fisher), his daughter with Maxie, would probably love to have a pet. Maxie is busy working at Deception, but there are plenty of people in the household who could take turns walking and feeding Outback. Maxie is Mac's (John J. York) stepdaughter, so she is family to Emma (who is Mac's great-niece). Maxie, Spinelli, and their family have lots of love to give a dog in need of a home.
The Quartermaines
Let's face it, on General Hospital, the Quartermaine mansion seems like a hotel. There seems to be an endless number of bedrooms, and there is plenty of acreage on the property for Outback to roam around and get exercise. Tracy might be prickly toward the idea of adopting a dog, but we've been seeing her soft side come out more and more over the past year or so — we suspect that she will warm up to the idea in time. Besides, it wouldn't be the first time the Quartermaines have had a dog. In the past, they had a French Mastiff named Foster, a French Briard named Annabelle, Annabelle II, and a Tibetan Mastiff puppy named Raoul.
Danny (Asher Antonyzyn) and Rocco (Finn Carr) would probably love to have a dog. Danny has been through so much grief and heartache after losing his mother, Sam (Kelly Monaco), last year. The love and companionship of a pet might do him good, and it would be nice to see him and Jason at the park together with Outback.

A pet might bring some light-heartedness into the Quartermaine household to offset all the drama in Brook Lynn's (Amanda Setton) and Chase's (Josh Swickard) current storyline about adopting a child, as well as the drama in Rocco's storyline regarding Liesl (Kathleen Gati) and Britt (Kelly Thiebaud). And it wouldn't be surprising if Tracy eventually fell in love with Outback, too.
