Who will rescue General Hospital's Scout?

General Hospital has made such a big deal about Willow losing her children because she is with Drew. The show has also made sure to point out that Michael doesn't want Wiley and Amelia anywhere near their mother while she is with this manipulative and awful man, but has anyone really thought about Drew's actual child?

General Hospital's Tracy tried, but Alexis wouldn't bite

Alexis (Nancy Lee Grahn) seemed to be thinking of Scout (Cosette Abinante) when she grabbed her out of Drew's (Cameron Mathison) Dawn of Day house to avoid the press after his body shot incident, but since then, she has been happy to let Drew raise his child, if he even knows where she is.

A few weeks ago, Tracy (Jane Elliot) had the very smart idea for Alexis to sue for custody of Scout. Her motives might not have been completely altruistic, but her goal was correct. Get that Quartermaine child away from her cult leader father. It didn't matter that Tracy wanted to do this out of revenge.

Alexis refused, claiming she didn't want Scout to have any more upheaval in her life, but what is her life anyway? We never see her. Drew never even mentions her. He is always just stalking Willow (Katelyn MacMullen), thinking about Willow, threatening Tracy, and threatening Nina (Cynthia Watros) and Portia (Brook Kerr), but doesn't ever think of his small daughter.

We know she was on stage for the General Hospital Nurses' Ball, but Drew forgot she existed the moment Michael swooped in and took Wiley. He ran out of the Metro Court with Willow and didn't give his child a second thought. Since then, he hasn't even mentioned her name.

Even when he brought Willow home from the hospital, she mentioned how strange it was to be in his house with no children. Is Scout really that much of an afterthought?

Sam's wishes need to come true

GH made sure we knew that Sam (Kelly Monaco) wanted Danny and Scout to stay together when she asked for Drew to raise them both in her will. Jason (Steve Burton) didn't want Drew raising his son, so he agreed to compromise and move into the Q mansion so that both fathers could raise their children together.

Since then, Drew has been kicked out of the mansion for sleeping with his nephew's wife, so Sam's wish to have her children stay together has not come true. Meanwhile, Scout is now the invisible child with nobody thinking about her or caring about her.

It's time Sam's daughter becomes important again. If Alexis won't do the right thing by her daughter and granddaughter, maybe it's time that Jason does. He took care of both Danny and Scout on his own when Sam was in jail for months in 2021. He can do it again. And we are sure he will have Tracy's help to get it done.
