'Willow is just as terrible as Drew' — The General Hospital fandom unites against the Gruesome Twosome

It's rare for General Hospital fans to agree on anything, much less come together for one cause, but that's just what's happened thanks to Drew and Willow's lowest moments (so far) on June 9th. Drew and Willow are in the dog house, and they may not find their way out.

Drew's moral low, Willow's complete delusion

This Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) is certainly not the one who arrived at General Hospital in 2014 when Ava (Maura West) ran him down with her car. He woke up with a new face, not knowing who he was, before settling into life as Jake Doe and then Jason Morgan. Eventually, he figured out that he was Drew Cain, but the one we see now does not in any way, shape, or form resemble the one who just emotionally manipulated his own young nephew into believing his dad didn't want him anymore.

As for Willow (Katelyn MacMullen), she might be just who she always appeared to be. An emotional hot mess who never really recovered from her time in a cult and lets herself be manipulated and controlled by a man. She's just gone from one cult to another, believing everything that Drew tells her, even if it seems absurd. When she is away from Drew, she occasionally starts making sense, but as soon as he appears, she turns into a zombie cult member again, who has no right to raise children until she gets the help that she needs.

Willow believed Drew over her own son. Drew and Willow's actions in one episode were enough to horrify Ric Lansing (Rick Hearst), and that says a lot. But it also set the GH fandom off with a rallying cry — Drew and Willow need to lose.

General Hospital fans sound off

@GHFan10130 said it best when they harkened back to the Drew of yesteryear. "The real Drew would never treat a child like that smh," they wrote on X (formerly Twitter), while sharing photos of Drew of yesteryear with Scout and Danny.

"Ric witnessed the ugly and spiteful performance Drew did in front of Wiley, making a little boy think his dad doesn’t want him!" @paula_30throad wrote. "Is this a low that even Ric thinks is too low?! Is Ric possibly going to do the right thing?! Someone needs to end this Drew soon!"

@DanteIsAVibe is as disgusted by both Drew and Willow as everyone else, writing, "Drew is abhorrent and disgusting and Willow completely deserves him. Hate her guts too!"

Some fans are just waiting for Drew to be killed off because they feel there is no coming back from what he just did.

X user @CrazyLexxiCool concurs. "I don’t know who #GH thinks their audience is but most of us are women and watching a predatory man manipulate a grown woman was already despicable but to have him intentionally make Wiley think his dad doesn’t love him was some sick BS," they wrote.

"Drew gotta die. That is NASTY work saying Michael doesn’t want Wiley or Amelia now that he has the new baby and did it so Wiley could overhear," @SourceRyan commented.

@AlanSarapa is planning the Drew murder mystery that Soap Central has been predicting since January.

"Characters with motive to kill Drew: Willow (once she finds out the truth), Michael, Carly, Sonny, Jason, Nina, Portia, Curtis, Trina, Wiley, Tracy and Kristina," he wrote.

General Hospital fan@LindaBr40310878 summed it all up with her assessment of both Drew and Willow, and most fans seem to be in agreement.

"Willow is just as terrible as Drew people have to stop infantilizing her she’s not innocent."
