Former General Hospital heartthrob, Antonio Sabáto, Jr. (ex-Jagger Cates), is a proud new dad. The actor and his fiancée welcomed a son into the family.
People reports that Sabáto and his fiancée, Cheryl Mona Marie, welcomed their first child earlier this week. Antonio Kamakanaalohamaikalani Harvey Sabáto III was born May 1 at 10:30 pm. The little one's middle name means "a beloved gift from the heavens" in Hawaiian.
Antonio III is his dad's third child; he joins 16-year-old Jack, and big sister, Mina, who is seven.
Sabáto became one of daytime's most recognizable faces during his 1992 to 1994 run on General Hospital. Fourteen years later, Sabáto returned to the role of Jagger -- but not in daytime. Sabáto appeared on the second season of the primetime GH spinoff, Night Shift, which aired on SOAPnet. Sabáto also appeared as Dante Damiano on CBS's The Bold and the Beautiful from 2005 to 2006.
Before making a splash in daytime, Sabáto was an underwear model for Calvin Klein. In 1990, he appeared in Janet Jackson's music video for "Love Will Never Do (Without You)."
In 2008, Sabáto appeared in the reality dating series My Antonio, a program that chronicled why one of People's Most Beautiful People was single. It's worth noting Cheryl was not one of the contestants on the show.
