Ingo Rademacher waltzes onto Dancing With the Stars
Ingo Rademacher will be putting his best foot forward as a contestant on ABC's Dancing With the Stars. Rademacher debuted on GH in January 1996.

Ingo Rademacher (Jasper "Jax" Jacks) has joined the cast of the 16th cycle of ABC's hit reality dancing competition, Dancing With the Stars.

Soap stars have been quite successful in past seasons: General Hospital's Kelly Monaco (Sam McCall) competed in the inaugural season of the competition -- and won, taking home the show's coveted mirror ball trophy in 2005. In 2011, All My Children's JR Martinez (Brot Monroe) was crowned the winner of the 13th installment.

In 2007, Cameron Mathison (Ryan Lavery) competed in the show's fifth season, finishing in fifth place. One year later, Susan Lucci (Erica Kane) competed, and finished in seventh place. In 2010, Aiden Turner (Aidan Devane) took part in the competition, and landed in ninth place overall.

Jack Wagner (Frisco Jones) competed in season 14, and was the second star to be eliminated. Former Days of our Lives star Lisa Rinna (ex-Billie Reed) and The Bold and the Beautiful veteran Mario Lopez (Christian Ramirez) have also taken part in the competition.

Rademacher joined General Hospital in January 1996. He exited the show in August 2000 to pursue an opportunity on the primetime soap Titans, but the series quickly folded. A year later, Rademacher returned to Port Charles, and remained with the show through May 2011.

Dancing With the Stars debuts March 18 at 8pm ET/7pm CT on ABC.
