GH takes home WGA award for Best Writing
If you think GH is the best-written daytime drama, you and the Writers Guild of America have something in common.

Fans of General Hospital think the drama in Port Charles is nail-biting, and apparently the Writers Guild of America thinks so, as well. Over the weekend, the organization gave this year's award for best daytime drama writing team to the GH crew.

The ABC soap's writing team -- which consists of Anna Theresa Cascio, Suzanne Flynn, Kate Hall, Elizabeth Korte, Daniel James O'Connor, Elizabeth Page, Katherine Schock, Scott Sickles, Chris Van Etten, and head writer Ron Carlivati -- trumped the team on NBC's Days of our Lives, which was the only other daytime serial writing crew nominated.

For a complete list of WGA winners in other categories, including feature film, radio, on-air promos and video games, check out this story.

What do you think about GH's writing team trumping DAYS' writing team? Do you agree that GH is the best-written daytime drama? Share your thoughts in our Comments section below, on our message boards, or by submitting Feedback.
