Get the details on General Hospital star John J. York's (Mac Scorpio) emotional new film, Resolution Song.

Fans who just can't get enough of John J. York as General Hospital's Mac Scorpio will soon have the chance to see the actor take on a whole new role in Resolution Song, scheduled for release on Tuesday, February 6.

The dramatic faith-based film follows Margaret (played by Kevin Hart's ex-wife, Torrei Hart), a submissive stay-at-home mom dealing with the tragic death of her eldest son. Margaret struggles to keep her cheating husband (Lester Speight) and emotionally strained family from losing faith.

"So thankful to be a part of this incredible experience," York tweeted about the project, adding that the film's crew members and his costars were "all so amazing."

Directed by Antonio James and written by Deborah Capstone, Resolution Song exposes racial tension, challenges faith, and directly questions the dynamics of the family structure by exploring the aftermath of a tragic situation. York stars as a character named Steve along with actors including Torrei Hart, Kennedy Lea Slocum, Lester Speight, Ella Joyce, Sean McNabb, Shiah Luna, and Michael Chubb.

"I obtained a script about faith and family, but created so much more," says James. "Faith is always challenged, yet no one talks about how the family can be the reason you lose faith."
