Heads up, General Hospital fans (and we mean that literally): the soap has posted a video that details how Nurse Mary Pat's severed head was made for the ABC series' Halloween episodes.

General Hospital's Halloween episodes were so bloody good, fans' eyes nearly popped out of their heads. But that wasn't the only head-related fun the spooky episodes delivered. Viewers who tuned in to the ABC soap opera were also shocked when, after becoming one of Ryan Chamberlain's victims, Ferncliff nurse Mary Pat was found dead, with her severed head floating in a bucket of apples.

The gory apple bobbing scenes immediately created quite a buzz on social media, with Mary Pat's portrayer writing: "The efx were so good, it scared me!"
