General Hospital fans who miss seeing actor Jeffrey Vincent Parise in the role of Carlos Rivera can look forward to seeing him work his on-screen magic in a new role. The Indianapolis native has landed a part in the SyFy series The Magicians.
Parise took to social media to tease his involvement in the series, which follows a magician who realizes the magic from his favorite childhood books is real and poses a danger to humanity. The only written hint the actor shared about the project was "stay tuned," but the script cover he included in the Instagram photo with his post reveals that he'll be appearing in the fifth episode of the fifth season titled "Apocalypse? Now?!" which was written by series story editor Mike Moore and directed by Shannon Kohli.
As for what fans might expect from the GH baddie in his new role, he has plenty of science-fiction experience under his belt. He recently did a recurring stint as Asmodeus, the Prince of Hell, in season thirteen of the CW's Supernatural and also starred in the apocalyptic flick The Outer Wild. He also encountered plenty of "out-there" situations in his role as GH's Carlos, which he played from 2013 to 2016.
The fifth season of The Magicians isn't scheduled to premiere until sometime in 2020, so keep checking back to Soap Central for the series' official release date and more information on Parise's episode.
