Actress Tiffany Daniels stepped in for Briana Nicole Henry in the role of General Hospital's Jordan Ashford this week -- but why? And how long will the recast last? Find out from Henry, who has spoken out about the temporary casting situation.

General Hospital viewers were taken aback during the January 26 episode of the ABC drama when the character of Jordan Ashford hit the screen. Rather than seeing the face of Briana Nicole Henry, who has been in the role since 2018, viewers saw the face of actress Tiffany Daniels.

Fans immediately began worrying that Henry could be experiencing health issues, as she and her husband, Kris Bowers, developed COVID-19 shortly before Thanksgiving. But Henry took to Instagram to assuage viewers' fears.

In a post made to her IG Stories, Henry confirms that her on-screen absence is due to COVID, but she is currently in good health and will be back in Port Charles very soon.

"I appreciate all the love and support from you guys worried about my status as Jordan on GH. I got Covid over the holidays and had to take a couple weeks off," she shared. "Someone needed to fill in for me. Coincidentally, it's my best friend! So, I am back at GH and please enjoy the beautiful Tiff D. for the next couple of episodes."

According to Soap Opera Digest, Daniels will actually be appearing in four episodes of GH before Henry returns.

If Daniels looks familiar, it's with good reason: the California native has a lot of credits to her name, including the TV series Major Crimes, Aberrant, NCIS, Timeless, Grace and Frankie, and Sherman's Showcase. She's also an accomplished dancer who's boogied down in projects like The Fresh Beat Band, Broad City, The Little Mermaid Live!, and La La Land.
