Aaron met Kristina Corinthos-Davis at the Freeman Clinic when she visited her brother, Morgan Corinthos. After Aaron and Kristina flirted, Aaron asked Kristina if she would be open to them hanging out together, and Kristina agreed. Aaron was shocked when he discovered that Kristina's father was Sonny Corinthos, owner of Corinthos Coffee. Aaron was delighted to meet Sonny and told Sonny he was a culinary student and a huge fan of Sonny's gourmet coffee.

Aaron told Sonny he wanted to be a chef. Sonny invited Aaron to tour Pozzulo's kitchen, which excited Aaron.

Aaron told Kristina it was everyone's dream in culinary school to open a restaurant. Aaron said he wanted to begin with a food truck that served fun breakfasts and lunches. He wondered if he could persuade Sonny to let him carry Sonny's brand of coffee.

Aaron felt bad after Kristina confessed she had been suspended from college. She also told him about her failed marriage and her abusive relationship with Keifer. Aaron wanted to get to know her, and he took her to a new restaurant.

Kristina advised Aaron that he'd made a great impression on Sonny. She revealed that Sonny had agreed to let Aaron sell Corinthos gourmet coffee on his food truck. Aaron was shocked because he knew Sonny was very selective about who sold his coffee. Aaron disclosed that he couldn't afford to buy a food truck yet but appreciated what Kristina had done for him. Kristina advised him she had done some research, and the owner of Waterfront Coffee on the Promenade was open to selling it. Kristina suggested that Aaron invest in the coffee shop. Kristina advised him to put together a business plan and talk to Sonny.

Sonny agree to finance Aaron's coffee shop. Aaron thanked Sonny and promised he would put his heart and soul into making Perks Coffee a success.

Aaron and Kristina relaxed on a blanket as they gazed at the stars. Kristina told Aaron that Sonny donated anonymously to the fireworks display every year, and he did it anonymously because he was allegedly the most powerful mobster on the East Coast. Aaron admitted he already knew that.

Later, they arrived at Aaron's basement apartment and made love. Kristina fell asleep, and as Aaron watched her sleeping, she whispered Parker's name. When she woke up, Aaron told her she had mentioned Parker's name in her sleep and asked her if she was really over Parker because he needed to know if she had feelings for someone else. He wanted them to be honest with each other. Kristina assured him that Parker was in her past, and she was ready to move forward with him.
