Accused of murdering Edmund, Reva has walk-in visitors throughout her 24-hour prison stay. Sure, Jeffrey is her husband/lawyer, but Shayne, Dinah, and Marina (with baby Colin) all paraded through the prison last week.

It seems as though the hot spot in Springfield is at the police station these days. Not only do all of the criminal element reside there, but nearly anyone can walk in and out of the place without a backwards glance! Just how secure IS this town?

First we have Reva. Accused of murdering Edmund Winslow (albeit no one's favorite person), Reva has walk in visitors throughout her 24-hour stay. Sure, Jeffrey is her husband/lawyer, but Shayne, Dinah and Marina (with baby Colin) all paraded through as well? Come on! Not that I think she did it...

And it's not just the visitors. Let's just go ask the detectives in charge about the case. What do you have? What are you doing? When are you going to let Reva out? Seriously? There were a lot more - realistic - ways to get this story moving. Just show Mallet conducting the search of Cross Creek and finding (of course) the murder weapon conveniently in Reva's trunk. Not that I've ever thought about such things, but I'm pretty sure I'd get rid of the bloody murder weapon right away...

Of course, Reva didn't do it - we all know that. The case was just too neat and tidy - especially for someone as hated as the Dark Prince. But this week the story has a few more twists when Cross Creek gets some new decorations via a vandal and the Dark Prince himself goes AWOL...

Once Reva got sprung, it was time for James Spaulding to finally start paying for his crimes. I've made no bones about this character making me want to bonk him upside his head. But Beth WANTS Phillip to go to jail for their son? Yes, I know, James is her son. But he is #1 an adult - capable of making his own decisions and # 2 - a CRIMINAL who defrauded people out of lots of money. Sure, the Spauldings can (I guess) replace it) but the crime still happened. And framing Bill for it means that his relationship with Lizzie just got ramped up another notch.

Yes, I know poor (!) James grew up getting the shaft from his super-rich family. He wasn't conceived to save Lizzie, although it did work out that he helped her beat leukemia. But no matter how bad you think your life is, there comes a time when you have to stand up and take control of your own actions. As my dad always said, no one's life is the "Brady Bunch", all neatly wrapped up in 30 minutes...

And who could be joining James in a cell soon? New/old Springfield PD officer Remington Beaudreaux. Sure, Remy did a great thing by helping his family (defrauded by James Spaulding) but selling stolen diamonds to some shady guy at Tower's Bar? And Christina naively thinks he bought the diamond for her? On what salary? This week she'll get a little more 4-1-1 on the diamond, but how will she react? And what will happen once Cyrus and his shady lady partner learn where the stones can be found?

Why is no one instantly suspicious of Cyrus returning to town when there are diamonds to be found? Is Frank so overwrought with the loss of Natalia that he gives the guy who broke Marina and Harley's heart a JOB? Are you kidding me? Or is Frank playing the hero and luring Cyrus into confessing what he knows about the gems? Probably the former and not the latter, but I'll be willing to give goofy old Frank the benefit of the doubt... for now.

It seems that some of these things will be sorted out this week. But how will it all turn out? I guess we'll have to stay tuned!!
