Though a show spokesperson declined to comment on the rumors, there is ongoing chatter that Bradley Cole (Richard Winslow) will be exiting Guiding Light when his contract expires later this year.

The talk of Cole's departure first emerged late last year. According to sources, Cole had expressed a desire to leave the show. However, other accounts had the writing staff wrapping of Cole's storyline and ditching the character.

Cole joined Guiding Light in June 1999. He quickly became a fan favorite and earned a nomination for the Soap Opera Central Award for Outstanding Lead Actor earlier this year.
