DINAH asks MATT if he just said he was going to live in the unfinished house with Vanessa. She tells him he can't live there with a memory. He tells her that her mother is alive and she misses them and nothing is going to stop him from bringing her home. Dinah tells him that he needs to see a therapist. He tells her that Vanessa is Tess and that she said "Matt, I miss you so much," on the computer. Matt tells Dinah that he thinks Vanessa was very sick before she left--she was having fainting spells. He tells her that he went to Nola to ask about medical tests that Vanessa had done, but Nola wouldn't help him. Dinah tells Matt not to say anything about this to Bill. She leaves but then returns and says she wants to believe what he is saying.
ROGER and HOLLY are at Company talking about Blake. Holly things Blake is "coming clean" with Ross right then. Roger says she would lose everything and blow her marriage to kingdom come.
BLAKE and ROSS arrive at their house and they kiss. Blake keeps trying to tell Ross about her "problem" but Ross interrupts her. He tells her that this trial is agony for him and he has been coming home to silence with no one there to talk to. He says he will do whatever it takes to make their marriage work. He says he wants to be a father to both his sons. She runs crying into the bedroom; he follows her and they make love. She tries again to talk to him about court, but he won't let her. He asks for permission to stay.
JOSH and ANNIE arrive at their house. Annie is upset by Josh's news that the baby has finally been found. She remembers going to the morgue and removing the Lewis name tag on the can containing the fetus, then moving the cans around. She wants to go to the hospital and get the baby. Josh tells her the hospital cannot release the remains because the DNA tests, etc. are being done right now. Josh says the tests will prove cause of death and paternity. She begs him to use his influence but he refuses. She says she will drop everything and let Reva go free rather than have their baby be dissected. Josh says it is the state's case, not hers. He suggests that she take a nice long bath and he will go to the store and get her some herbal tea. He pretends to leave, goes into another room and listens in on a phone call she makes to the hospital. She wants to know who might have talked to her husband about the baby's remains. She talks to the morgue and pretends to be a student. She asks, "If a woman had a miscarriage and wanted to pin down the day that her baby died, could she do it?" The reply is positive; it could be done from a tissue sample. She hangs up and runs upstairs hysterically. Josh realizes that the baby was dead before she fell down the stairs. He pretends to come back home and tells Annie that he never made it to the store because he got a phone call from the person who had called before about finding the baby's remains and Josh determined that the caller was really a tabloid reporter. Annie is extremely relieved.
MICHELLE and BILL return from a concert with Marcus and Dahlia. Bill tells Michelle that he got a list of heart recipients about a mile long. She says that it is no longer so important to her because she had a long talk with Maureen. Marcus tells the group that Sugar Hill, the record producer, is coming to Springfield to hear him but the he (Marcus) is going to make sure that he also hears Dahlia sing.
Jenna tells Jeffrey that she has a plan that will get Buzz out of their lives forever. Jeffrey tells Jenna that she better not be playing any games, or else she'll be sorry. Buzz is waiting in the diner for Jenna, and when she doesn't show up, he goes over to the hotel room, only to find Jeffrey & Jenna in bed together.
Blake stands up in court and says that Reva is innocent and she can prove it. The judge goes into chambers w/Blake, Ross & Griffin. Meanwhile, Annie is losing her mind for fear of what Blake is telling the judge, She is also thankful that Josh is not there to see Blake's outburst. Alan reassures Annie that she will be fine. Everyone comes out of chambers and the judge calls Blake to the stand. During Griffin's questioning, Blake tells all about tapping Ross' phone, stealing his files, (so Annie could find out that Reva was looking for a sister), Annie getting artificially inseminated, posing as Reva's sister etc. Ross asks Annie if there is any truth to this; Annie says that it is all lies. Blake's cross examination is tomorrow. Ross is furious.
Josh goes to the doctor's office where Alan & Annie posed as "Mr. & Mrs. Smith." He suspects that this is where Annie was told that her fetus was dead. The doctor is out of town (in Egypt), so the receptionist was not able to help Josh, but did recognize the picture of Annie. She said that that was definitely "Mrs. Smith", but Josh didn't look like "Mr. Smith." Josh returns home to find Marah. She took a bus from Oklahoma to come back home. She is so afraid that she will never see her mother again (Reva).
Roger tells Holly that they will be forever connected, and kisses her passionately in the hallway outside the courtroom.

Ross apologizes to the court for his personal statements/outburst while examining Blake on the stand. Blake testifies that Annie was artificially inseminated. Ross says it was all hearsay and therefore worthless testimony.
Matt tries to find out where "Tess" is signing on from (her location). He contacts the online provider but gets nowhere. The only thing he does know is that she is 7 hours away. He decides to pay Nola a visit to see what she knows about this.
After seeing Jenna and Jeffrey together, Buzz orders a double scotch from bartender Nola. She urges Buzz to confide in her; she can tell he is having "woman troubles." Buzz tells her he's been dumped by the same woman twice! Meanwhile, Jeffrey tells Jenna to "savor the moment'" of her performance for Buzz. Because she has dumped Buzz, Jeffrey will spare his life. Jenna tells him she'll go away with him but she certainly will not ever love him again, nor will she share his bed. Later, as Jenna watches Buzz and Coop from a distance, she vows to get rid of Jeffrey and set things right with Buzz.
Griffin Williams cross-examines Blake, who admits she was blackmailed by Annie into bugging Ross's phone. She says Annie made it perfectly clear that she would ruin Blake's marriage in order to save her own. Blake testifies that she remained quiet in order to salvage her marriage to Ross. Until things got bad for Reva, that is.....! "Do you have anything to gain from coming forward at this late date?" Griffin asks Blake. "No," she replies, looking at Ross. "I'm afraid I have just lost everything." Afterwards, she asks Ross if they can go someplace private to talk. He says no -- "you are a stranger." He says he doesn't understand how her heart works. She says that if he can't understand her fear and how it motivated her to lie, then she doesn't understand how his heart works either.
Annie tells Ross that Blake was lying on the stand. She accuses Blake of being pathological. She tries to convince Josh that Blake lied. Josh smiles wryly as Annie's lies come unravelled.
Josh tells Reva that Marah ran away from Rusty to come home and support her Mama. Josh says that Marah loves her Mama "almost as much as he does." Griffin warns them to limit their conversation so that Annie doesn't see them together. Before they do, however, Josh tells Reva that he has found the doctor who treated Annie when she really lost the baby. He is going to try to locate him and bring him in to testify!
Dinah asks Hart, "What if my mother really IS alive?" Hart says she is not and privately warns Matt to keep his fantasies about Vanessa being alive to himself. He says that they are unnecessarily upsetting Dinah.
A worried Annie tells Alan she can't believe Blake has betrayed her. Josh approaches them and tells Annie it's time they had a little talk. He then leads her by the arm out of the courtroom....
