Alexia Rosales, a Texas preschool teacher lost her life after multiple cars collided outside an elementary school. 5 students were left injured. The incident took place at 4 p.m. on December 19 as parents were driving through to pick up their kids from Excelled Montessori Plus following a holiday performance.

Per USA Today, as the children met with their parents at the vehicle, one of the mothers picked up her kids and then rammed her car into another vehicle. The two vehicles then collided with a play area. Bexar County Sheriff Javier Salazar said during a news conference, per Fox News:

"She, in turn, pushed that other car, and then both cars ended up hitting a fence where on the other side of that fence, several children were playing."

22-year-old Alexia Rosales loses her life as a mom with a medical history rams her car into a play area: Here's what we know

Alexia Rosales was 22 years old at the time of her death. When the car rammed into the play area, she was with the children. She was stuck under one of the vehicles "for some time," the sheriff revealed.

While firefighters were able to extradite her body from beneath the rubble via a hydraulic lift, there was no chance to revive her. Apart from Alexia Rosales, five children had to be hospitalized for their varying degrees of injuries.

Per USA Today, the parent responsible for the crash has a questionable medical history that may be attributed as the cause, which means that investigators have ruled out inebriation, Salazar revealed. At the time of the conference, the status of the driver was unknown, though he claimed she was alright.

In the wake of Alexia Rosales' passing, a GoFundMe page has been launched to support her family. The page reads, in part:

"Her smile lit up every room, and her laughter brought so much joy to our days. She had a special way of connecting with everyone—making you feel seen, heard, and valued. Watching her with the kids was something truly special. She loved each child as if they were her own, pouring her heart into every moment."

It goes on:

"We’re heartbroken. Losing Alexia feels like losing a part of ourselves. Her warmth, kindness, and energy will always stay with us, but the void she leaves behind is immense."

The GoFundMe aims to cover all the funeral costs, and at the time of writing, donations have long crossed the $10,000 goal. A staggering $44,561 has been raised with alms coming in from over 600 patrons.

Per Fox News, at the time of writing, the mother responsible for the tragedy had not been charged.
