Social media influencer Woah Vicky has once again found herself in hot water after confessing to faking a kidnapping story during her recent trip to Nigeria. Known for her over-the-top antics, Vicky’s latest stunt has sparked outrage and disappointment among her followers. As she navigates through her latest controversy, let's take a quick look at her rocky relationship with former partner John Gabbana.
In 2022, Victoria Rose, formerly known as Woah Vicky, publicly alleged that her ex, John Gabbana, had subjected her to emotional and physical abuse throughout their relationship.
The couple’s turbulent romance, which began in January 2021, was marked by a cycle of frequent breakups and reconciliations. Their on-again, off-again dynamic often played out in public view, drawing significant attention from fans and critics alike.
At one point, the duo even appeared in an interview with The Shade Room Teens, where they opened up about their relationship, discussing how they met and expressing their love for one another.
However, the sincerity of that interview was scrutinized by John’s mother who alleged that Gabbana had lied about his childhood upbringing in the interview. She said:
"LISTEN! Boonk is NOT! being truthful. At the end Boonk said he never had nothing.. RIGHT? BOONK your story is always changing if people will listen and question Boonk answers they will know he full of s—-."
According to The Shade Room, John Gabbana did not respond to Vicky's allegations about alleged abuse but did seemingly respond to his mom's comments. Gabbana said:
"Who said I grew up in da hood? I said I grew up in an abusive home."
Woah Vicky's kidnapping controversy
During what appeared to be an enjoyable holiday trip, Vicky decided to stir up some online chaos by claiming she had been abducted and held for a $1 million ransom. She added images of herself with a man to the tweet. The alarming posts quickly went viral, causing panic among her fans and drawing significant online attention.
The now-deleted tweet from Woah Vicky's X account read:
"I have kidnapped Vicky. She is with me in Nigeria. I am demanding $1 million for her release,"
However, in a follow-up revelation on 30 December, Woah Vicky admitted that the entire story was fabricated and the man in the pictures was her brother. She said:
"Sorry about that, everything’s good, y’all... I was bored and having fun, just getting a laugh. It’s all love, I’m just having fun with my brother, everything’s good."
In another post, she reassured furious fans and followers:
"This is my blood brother actually we have the same dad , our dad is mixed Nigeran and European …. My mom is European and his mom is Nigeran"
