'Not mad at this': Fans react as Marvel Studios is rumoured to be eyeing DeWanda Wise for the role of Storm in an upcoming MCU film

If Jada Pinkett-Smith and Aaliyah had a child it would be DeWanda Wise. The gorgeous actress has wowed the audience with her brilliant performance in shows like She's Gotta Have It and Shots Fired, most recently in Three Women. And now she is reportedly set to blow everyone away (pun intended) by playing the weather-wielding mutant Storm in an upcoming movie.

Wise is known for her diversity in roles and because of that many fans think she is the perfect successor to the iconic Halle Berry. Though no one can match the brilliance of Halle Berry, DeWanda Wise might hopefully breathe a new life into the character.

As soon as the fans 'caught wind' of the news, the reactions poured in fast. Many supported the casting choice while others were concerned about casting an older actress instead of a younger one.
