The highly anticipated Squid Game 2 is now available on Netflix. After announcing a Squid Game IOS and Android game, fans are in for another treat. Call of Duty announced a crossover with the popular Netflix show earlier this month. Starting January 3, 2025, Black Ops 6 will receive the crossover.

On December 26, CoD dropped an exclusive trailer of the collaboration on their social media. Netizens took to the comment section and dropped their views about the crossover.

One user expressed their excitement and noted,

"This unexpected collaboration could be perfect for a zombies map, especially in multiplayer. Competing for resources while surviving waves would make for intense gameplay!"

Another comment (@GetGoodBrandi) said,

"F** I don’t wanna give this game anymore money but I love squid games and the skins lowkey go hard."

Many users drew similarities between Fortnite and CoD. One user (@Overlain_0) commented,

"I call this the fortnite effect."

Another user added,

"You got CoD trying to be fortnite and fortnite trying to be CoD."

While many shared excitement over the crossover, some users noted that they would want a comeback of the older versions of CoD. One user (@needlessrelic16) shared a video and noted,

"Who remembers when the game looked like real life"

After three years of the first season, Squid Game is back on Netflix with its new season. Fans of the global-hit Korean series and OG gamers are waiting for the crossover to debut on January 3. The trailer shows a crossover of the participants in skins identical to those in the show and Black Ops playing the infamous 'Green Light- Red Light' game.

While most information has been kept under wraps, the crossover could include unique skins and multiple limited-time modes. According to a CoD blog, customers can expect limited-time games in Warzone, Zombies, and Multiplayer modes.

Netizens have expressed their excitement about the crossover. Some other users reminisced about the older versions of CoD. While not all information about the crossover has not been released, fans can expect newer updates in the upcoming days.
