Nike is rumored to be planning the release of the Nike Kobe 9 EM Low Protro “China” sneakers soon. The Nike Kobe 9 EM "China" was originally launched in 2014 under the Kobe 9 Elite and EM line. The new sneakers represent the Chinese culture with the red-and-gold theme.

While Nike hasn't announced the official release date yet, the shoes are expected to launch during the Lunar New Year holiday season.

Nike Kobe 9 EM Low Protro “China” sneakers are available in red, black and gold colorways

Nike Kobe 9 EM Low Protro “China” sneakers follow the Chinese tradition with red, gold, and black colorways. The upper of the shoes is in an orangey-red color with black shoelaces. The tongue has snake graphics in gold, red, and orange colors with a black background highlighting the design.

Nike's logo is added on the sides in gold color, and Kobe Bryant's signature is etched on the heels, showcasing the branding. The back of the shoe is black in color with an embroidered design and nine golden strips. The heels have golden speckles, too, in red color for detailing. The outsole is white, which brings the whole look together.

In Chinese culture, red is believed to attract good fortune and happiness, black represents strength and Yin for balance, and gold is related to wealth, good luck, and luxury.

The new Nike and Kobe Bryant sneakers balances of the three colors, making it apt for release during the Lunar New Year and holiday season.

The release window of Nike Kobe 9 EM Low Protro “China” sneakers is expected to be during the holiday season. Nike is yet to confirm the official release date and price of the sneakers.
