"Ok Ok Ok im sat": Fans react excitedly to KFC Saucy restaurant focused upon chicken tenders and sauces

KFC is encouraging its customers to “stay saucy” by unveiling its brand new Saucy restaurant. The restaurant chain announced the opening of the Orlando division of Saucy on December 23, 2023, to serve sauce lovers with 11 hot, fresh, and crispy sauce offerings.

Another section of the comments was confused as to why the existing KFC restaurants couldn’t sell the sauces:

“I don’t understand why they need a whole new restaurant for this when they could just sell them at KFC, what am I missing here? An X user asked.

“Why not just have sauces at KFC?” Another asked.

“I don’t think it will last for long as a standalone restaurant chain. Might as well integrate it with their KFC Restaurants instead,” another user stated.

Other comments suggested that the restaurant chain was trying to compete with Raising Cane’s, which is also popular for its chickens and sauces.

“Sounds like they are trying to compete with Raising Canes. Good luck,” a comment read.

“There are over 4000 different ways you could order at Saucy,” KFC says as it unveils the Saucy restaurant

In a news release dated December 18, 2024, KFC updated customers on its latest project—the Saucy restaurant:

“Saucy is a flavor-forward dining destination offering chicken tender lovers the chance to dip, dunk, and customize their meal with 11 irresistible sauces. Always made hot, fresh, and crispy, Saucy’s tenders pair perfectly with sweet, spicy, savory, and smoky global flavors, all complemented by an 11-beverage lineup that includes a variety of teas, freezes and refreshers.”

The 11 signature sauces include:

• Chimichurri Ranch
• Peri Peri Ranch
• Jalapeño Pesto Ranch
• Smokey Bacon Ranch
• Thai Sweet ‘N Spicy
• Sweet ‘N Saucy BBQ
• Saucy’s Sauce
• Spicy Mango Chutney
• Saucy Ranch
• Creole Honey Mustard
• Sweet Teriyaki

The restaurant chain, in its news release, also stated that customers could order at Saucy in over 4000 different ways based on the calculation:

“We’re sauce people, not math people, but we tried to calculate it and there seems to be over 4,000 different ways you could order at Saucy and have a different flavor experience every time,”

Saucy has a made-to-order meal policy. Customers can order the sauces individually or in a “flight of four” and with tenders of their choice, which will be hand-breaded and fried in small batches.

Sauces and tenders can be paired with crinkle-cut fries, toasted Hawaiian rolls, and Spicy Queso Crunch Sandwiches. For beverages, the new restaurant also offers Passion Fruit + Orange + Guava refresher, Hot Honey Watermelon Refresher, and Blue Raspberry Freeze, amongst others.
