Brisbane's rising indie-rock trio, Bean Magazine, have officially announced their first-ever headline tour across Australia. The newly-announced trek is set to kick off this October, following a 28-date support run with Ball Park Music.
The run is titled the Folly in the Shade tour. The four-stop trek is expected to showcase tracks from their latest EP, FOLLY, and previous release In the Shade, which were both produced by Sam Cromack of Ball Park Music. The tour will feature support from fellow Aussie act Puree. It will visit Adelaide, Melbourne, Sydney, and Brisbane.
Bean Magazine took to their official Instagram page to announce the upcoming tour, captioning:
"Hey hello hi! We are doing our first headline tour in oct 🙂↕️Follow us on Spotify & make sure you listen to some songs to gain access to presales & vinyl preorder! Spotify Fans First Presale on Wednesday. General On Sale on Thursday. Much love, Bean Mag xx"
Bean Magazine are a Brisbane-based indie-rock trio made up of Henry Creamer (vocals, guitar), Gabrielle Beiers (drums), and Seb Baren (bass). Their sound mainly pulls from the textures of '90s alt-rock and indie.
After appearing at festivals like BIGSOUND and SXSW Sydney, and supporting acts such as The Rubens, Rum Jungle, and Hockey Dad, the band found their stride with 2024's EP In the Shade. The project earned a spot on Rolling Stone AU/NZ's Best Australian EPs of 2024 list. Their follow-up is FOLLY.

Bean Magazine's most recent EP, FOLLY, was officially released on June 6, 2025, via Purple Phase / Warner Music Australia. The record includes seven tracks that feature relatively guitar-heavy anthems. Singles like "Free As Hell," "Share You," and the newly released "Ashamed That You Hate It" have gathered love from fans and enthusiasts. Bean Magazine's Henry Creamer opened up about "Share You", stating:
"Telling someone how you truly feel is a daunting, heart on the line experience. Rejection nagging every moment in which you try and get your adoration across. This song is kinda the opposite."
He continued:
“I don't want to share my time with anyone else but I will also make it seem like I don’t and play it 'cool.' 'Share You' came at a time where we all happened to find ourselves in tedious situations regarding our personal lives/relationships. As a band we'd spoken about offering some slower stuff to break up our lives and give the people out there a well earned rest. This tune echoes that sentiment and then some."
