A look at all tracks from Benson Boone's American Heart

We are taking a look at Benson Boone's new studio albums and ranking them from best to worst. US Weekly describes his album as his "own" rather than mimicking any other artist's work.

1. Mystical Magical

Released approximately a month ago, Mystical Magical is exactly how it sounds. With "whimsical" lyrics, including the social media viral term, "Moonbeam ice cream". On his appearance on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, Benson Boone revealed that the lyrics were born out of a "mental block" and during his "unserious" work sessions with Jack LaFrantz.

2. Mr Electric Blue

The singer also released a music video of the track on June 19, with him poking fun at himself. The track is reportedly also in response to the criticism he has been receiving. For the music video, the singer enters while wearing a t-shirt that says, "One Hit Wonder."

3. Sorry, I'm Here For Someone Else

An upbeat pop track that Billboard describes as having an "explosive structure" and "twisting production." A song that reminds one of the 70s and 80s radio and has an unapologetic flair.

4. Man In Me

Betrayal song of the year? The beat and rhythm can distract you from the excruciating feelings of a lover. Many listeners found it to be a unique track from the album. One user on YouTube wrote,

"How is this song so depressing and upbeat at the same time...? like how can I feel the betrayal he's feeling."

5. I Wanna Be The One You Call

American Heart touches on multiple romantic themes, including voicing the wishful thinking of an unrequited love. I Wanna Be The One You Call includes a fusion of indie guitar and the thumping of a drum set.

6. Momma Song

The track is Boone's tribute to his mother and his parents' love story. A gentle track that has an emotional ring to it. However, the song's overall theme and beat appear to be an outlier on the album.

7. Take Me Home

The track has a reminiscent quality that takes listeners back to bittersweet memories. While "home" can be a subjective feeling, Benson Boone signals a romantic relationship of the past. One user wrote,

"Favorite song on the album. Made me cry! What a beautiful song. Nostalgia hits like no other."

8. Reminds Me of You

The chorus strikes a chord, but the overall theme of the track appears to be repetitive. Billboard describes the lyrics as "the best" on the album.

9. Young American Heart

Benson Boone's Young American Heart indicates a young love that is living through "crazy times", which is likely to strike a chord with many. The track is a well-deserved wrap-up to the album.

10. Wanted Man

While the song appears at the end of the list, it easily passes with a jamming vibe. The chorus could use a punch, but the YouTube comment section might disagree, with many writing that they could hear the album on "repeat."

There is something for everyone on Benson Boone's new album. The album is crisp and concise, and an easy listen for half an hour! Upbeat and rock themes continue to be the highlights of the album.
