Big Thief 2025 "Somersault Slide 360 Tour": How to get tickets, dates, venues, and more explored

The indie rock group Big Thief has officially announced the first leg of their 2025 Somersault Slide 360 Tour, their first North American run since 2023.

The tour will begin on September 17, 2025, and span 20 cities across the United States and Mexico. It will wrap up on November 7, 2025, in Houston, Texas. Tickets are scheduled to go on sale Friday, May 9, 2025, at 10 a.m. local time via Ticketmaster, with a fan pre-sale starting May 7, 2025.

The band has been relatively quiet on the live circuit in recent times except for a few festival appearances. This follows the 2024 departure of bassist Max Oleartchik.

Big Thief took to their official Instagram handle to share the tour announcement. The post read:

"Our tour SOMERSAULT SLIDE 360 begins September 17 in Sacramento. SOMERSAULT SLIDE 360 TOUR will continue into 2026, and these shows that have just been announced are the first of more to come. Keep those antennas at a clear diagonal. Pre-sale begins at 10am local tomorrow May 7, sign up for presale access at bigthief.net/tour. Pre-sale helps us beat the bots and make sure actual fans get tickets."

Big Thief was formed in Brooklyn. The outfit is fronted by singer-songwriter Adrianne Lenker, with guitarist Buck Meek, drummer James Krivchenia, and until recently, bassist Max Oleartchik.

The band gained notable recognition with their 2022 double LP Dragon New Warm Mountain I Believe in You, which is reportedly their most successful record to date. It has earned Grammy nominations and reached No. 31 on the Billboard 200.
