BigXthaPlug’s latest album, I Hope You’re Happy, dropped on Friday, August 21, 2025, and is a star-studded affair. The eleven-track album, which explores the rapper’s failed relationship, pivots from his previous hip-hop projects.
I Hope You’re Happy boasts features from country stars including Jelly Roll, Bailey Zimmerman, Luke Combs, Darius Rucker, Shaboozey, Thomas Rhett, and Ella Langley. The Texas-born rapper revealed that he hopes to express himself more through genre-bending projects like IHYH:
“I actually went into it with a different mindset. I was going into it just trying to show that I was not just a hip-hop artist. I was trying to show that I was just an overall artist. I could do anything. But in the process of me doing it, I started going through a breakup. And when I first stepped into country [music], I asked a lot of country people, like, 'What does country mean?' And they all told me 'heartbreak and whiskey.'

Pray Hard, All The Way and 9 other tracks in BigXthaPlug's I Hope You're Happy album ranked
1) Pray Hard (featuring Luke Combs)
BigXthaPlug recruited Combs, one of the best voices in country music, to deliver an earworm with a catchy chorus. The song combines strumming guitar, a vibrant rasp, and a backup choir.
2) All The Way (featuring Bailey Zimmerman)
All The Way debuted in the top five on the Billboard Hot 100, and for good reason. The song blends trap, country music, and hip-hop impressively. The crossover hit has already showcased broad appeal thanks to its TikTok vitality.
3) Hell At Night (featuring Ella Langley)
Hell At Night sees Ella Langley wishing Hell At Night on her former lover in her distinctive voice. BigXthaPlug complements the singer’s angst with his rap verse. The twang-infused guitar is the icing on the cake.
4) Box Me Up (featuring Jelly Roll)
In Box Me Up, Jelly Roll discusses the effects of a dead relationship with raspy vocals and an evocative chorus. This collaboration was highly anticipated due to the friendship between the artists.
5) I Hope You’re Happy (featuring Darius Rucker)
As the lead single and titular track, I Hope You’re Happy is a fine blend of Rucker’s rich vocals and pared-down guitar instrumental. The song is essentially the artists wishing their exes all the best and calmly accepting their failed relationships.
6) Home (featuring Shaboozey)
Home follows the Shaboozey and BigXthaPlug’s 2023 megahit Drink Don’t Need No Mix. The breakup anthem sees the artists complementing each other—BigX using a Southern drawl and Shaboozey with folk melodies for a catchy track.
7) Long Nights (featuring Thomas Rhett)
In Long Nights, BigXthaPlug reflects on how far he’s come from an inmate to a millionaire. Rhett demonstrates his musical abilities with a blend of rap, country, and rock.
8) About You (featuring Tucker Wetmore)
In this track, BigXthaPlug reflects on an ex who manages to make everything about herself. Tucker Wetmore does justice to the chorus by reminding his former lover that he does not miss her and that she shouldn’t flatter herself.
9) 24/7 featuring Ink
This track takes a different approach from the others on the album, with soothing and slow vocals. The country-soul track features elements of brass and a guitar solo.
10) Gift & a Curse (Interlude)
This interlude finds BigXthaPlug admitting his faults as a lover. In the solo rendition, the rapper describes himself as someone who doesn’t know how to love properly.
11) Gone (Interlude)
The soothing track is ranked lowest only because it is short. Gone lasts about 43 seconds and abruptly cuts off when things get interesting.
