BLACKPINK is rumored to be preparing for a comeback album as well, with group member Lisa having previously hinted at an upcoming release in an exclusive interview with Variety on May 3, 2025:

"Actually, we were in the studio a few days ago. We’re all so super excited to get back together and go on tour. We really miss the blinks. We can’t wait to see them. You have to be patient about it. It’s coming soon, I promise. It’s about time."

The group's tour and comeback is long awaited by fans across the globe, with the group having paused group activities soon after the release of their second studio album, Born Pink, in 2022. BLACKPINK released their latest song, The Girls, back in 2023 as part of the soundtrack for the mobile game Blackpink: The Game.

The group also concluded their Born Pink World Tour in 2023 with two shows at the Gocheok Sky Dome in Seoul, South Korea on September 16, 2023 and September 17, 2023.

After pausing their group activities, group members worked on their own individual projects, including Rosé, who recently released the track Messy for the upcoming film F1's soundtrack. The track was released on May 8, 2025 and has been well-received by fans and critics alike.

The group consists of Jisoo, Jennie, Rosé and Lisa. The group, alongside having released two studio albums as well as a number of EPs and a compilation album, also starred in documentaries and concert films, such as Blackpink: The Movie, and Blackpink World Tour [Born Pink] In Cinemas.
