The interview began with the host Zane Lowe and J-Hope discussing his time in military service. J-Hope explained how the service changed him and how he now has more gratitude for his work. Describing what the service meant for him, he said:

''I think it's only natural for young people in South Korea to take on this responsibility. I thought it was a very important part of J-Hope's or Jeong Ho Seok's life. After all, I am a proud citizen of South Korea, I love my country. There are things that I cherish in this country.''

He continued:

''I thought a lot about how it was going to mean a lot to me. It's a different experience. From which I experienced something new. That was what I thought. I've learned a different life. And in many ways, I got to meet people from all walks of life, and I received a lot of good energy. I also heard a lot of good things."

They then spoke about J-Hope's solo tour and solo releases, particularly his album, Jack in the Box. J-Hope said that the album was filled with his passion and aspirations. He also explained how he wanted to do something different yet challenging with the album. He said:

''I guess I wanted to share what I envisioned musically. So I thought that something a little harder and more intense was very appropriate for that time. It was about me wanting and yearning for something more and presenting something great.''

The BTS member then said that the album was actually about him stepping out of his comfort zone. He also said that the music he heard as a child has now become his inspiration, and the album is based on his experiences.

J-Hope then spoke about BTS and said that the solo BTS project helped each member of the band discover their own identity, and when they reunite, after all the members complete their military service, their music will be balanced and meaningful. Hinting at a reunion, he said:

''So I look forward to June when our members will have completed their service. We will quickly get together and talk about what BTS can do in the future. I think it's going to be a massive energy. And the other thing that I've noticed on this tour, when BTS reunite and perform again, I feel that response will be tremendous.''

The interview was uploaded on Tuesday, April 29, 2025, and is available to watch on Apple Music's official YouTube channel.
