That Mexican OT released his latest album in 2025

That Mexican OT released his third and latest studio album, Chicken & Sauce, on April 18, 2025. The album is the first new album of the rapper since 2024's Texas Technician. Chicken & Sauce is a collaboration with Sauce Walka.

The singer talked about his music, particularly Texas Technician, as well as his music and nickname, in an exclusive interview with the Culted website, stating:

"I was already going by OT. It was something different. It was me just being me. My buddy Johnny was asking “what does OT mean?” Everybody was asking. It was “Out of Texas.” It just makes sense, so it just kind of happened."

The singer later talked about how he became a rapper:

"No. I don’t even think I had a goal in life. I just wanted to be okay, to be happy. I didn’t even know I was going to be a rapper. My mama knew I was going to be a rapper before I knew. I had a cousin called Homer Pimpson, and my uncle Mo, they were just doing it. So I was surrounded by music since a young age, being in the studio."

That Mexican OT continued:

"You ever met a kid who by the time he was walking, he was already in karate? By the time I was walking, I was already rapping. My brain is just wired that way. I could be doing this for free. I don’t know what else to do. That’s why I go so hard with music. I didn’t choose it, it chose me."

In a previous interview with Rolling Stone in 2023, the singer announced that he would like to become a cowboy after retiring:

"When I retire, I want to be a cowboy, I want to have land, cattle. I’ll be farming. I’ll have my own staff out there in the field. And not only that, helps with taxes. It’s always good to have land. I’ll never want to have to go to HEB for any product. I don’t want to have to buy anything. I want to have it all on my land."

That Mexican OT, born in Virgil René Gazca, on February 2, 1999. The rapper started his career in the 2020s, releasing his debut mixtape, South Texas Project, on June 5, 2020.
