Carnie Wilson breaks silence after father Brian Wilson's death, says he "was every fiber of my body"

Brian Wilson passed away at 82 on June 11. His death was announced on his social media account, where the family wrote,

"We are heartbroken to announce that our beloved father Brian Wilson has passed away. We are at a loss for words right now. Please respect our privacy at this time as our family is grieving. We realize that we are sharing our grief with the world. Love & Mercy"

The family’s statement did not mention the cause of his death or any related details. A few hours after the announcement, Wilson's daughter, Carnie Wilson, opened up about her heartbreak and shared her feelings over the loss of her father in an Instagram post featuring a family photo of her with Brian Wilson.

Carnie's statement read,

"I have no words to express the sadness I feel right now. My Father @brianwilsonlive was every fiber of my body. He will be remembered by millions and millions until the world ends."

She continued,

"I am lucky to have been his daughter and had a soul connection with him that will live on always. I've never felt this kind of pain before, but I know he's resting up there in heaven ... or maybe playing the piano for Grandma Audree his Mom."

Carnie Wilson ended her statement by saying,

"I will post something else soon but this is all my hands will let me type. I love you Daddy....I miss so much you already."

Wilson had seven children. He had two daughters, Carnie and Wendy Wilson, with his first wife, Marilyn Wilson-Rutherford. Later, he adopted five children with his second wife, Melinda Ledbetter.

Along with Carnie, Wendy Wilson also shared her feelings and bid farewell to her father, Brian Wilson, through an Instagram post. The statement read,

"Today I said goodbye to my beloved Dad and I will miss him with all of my heart forever. I am so proud of you Daddy in every way! Rest in peace and I love you"

The American singer and actress Nancy Sinatra, daughter of Frank Sinatra, also shared on Instagram,

"His cherished music will live forever as he travels through the Universe and beyond. God bless you, sweet Brian. One of the biggest thrills of my life was singing “California Girls” with Brian."

Son of The Beatles frontman John Lennon, Sean Taro Ono Lennon, wrote on X,

"Anyone who really knows me knows how heart broken I am about Brian Wilson passing. Not many people influenced me as much as he did. I feel very lucky that I was able to meet him and spend some time with him. He was always very kind and generous. He was our American Mozart. A one of a kind genius from another world."
