Chris Brown has been accused of committing copyright infringement and slapped with a lawsuit. The Don't Wake Me Up crooner, who earlier announced his Breezy Bowl tour with Summer Walker and Bryson Tiller, is being sued by swimwear brand Breezy Swimwear.
Live Nation promoters of the tour are also being sued. The Breezy Swimwear brand, in an exclusive statement released to TMZ Hip Hop, stated that the R&B artist’s branding has created confusion in the marketplace amongst consumers and prospective buyers.
CEO Kris Izquierdo alleged in their statement to the news outlet that they had made their brand name for years now, and some of the brand’s consumers have been messaging them for clarification on the confusion. Some of the people emailing Izquierdo are under the impression that Chris Brown will perform at an event being organized by the fashion brand.
The brand’s attorney, John Hoover, affirmed to the news outlet that the arbitrary use of names belonging to others by celebrities will not be tolerated:
"Celebrities do not get to overwrite small-business names just because they are famous."
Hoover further alleged that the phrase “Breezy Bow” was created in Miami by his client:
"Breezy Swimwear coined ‘Breezy Bowl’ here in Miami; we are simply asking the court to protect that home-grown brand and end the confusion."

Breezy Bowl's European leg kicked off on June 8, while the North American leg began on July 30, 2025, in Miami. Breezy Swimwear is seeking the court’s order for the destruction of any product or merchandise that bears the name “Breezy” or “Breezy Bowl”.
The plaintiff also seeks that Brown and his associates refrain from using the names.
The brand’s CEO is uncomfortable with Chris Brown’s public image and how it is being associated with their brand. The company states that it remains focused on maintaining its identity and the reputation it has built for itself in the fashion community.
Neither Chris Brown nor Live Nation has officially addressed the issue.
