Demi Lovato is dropping a cookbook for fans and food enthusiasts in March 2026, describing it as a collection of simple recipes that made her find joy in the kitchen. The Stone Cold singer shared the news about her upcoming cookbook, titled One Plate At A Time, on Instagram on June 25, 2025.
The singer shared a video online where she demonstrated how to make avocado toast with a crispy fried egg. In the caption, Lovato revealed that learning how to cook was an essential part of her recovery from her eating disorder:
"Stepping into the kitchen and learning how to cook has been such an important part of my recovery and healing my relationship with food."
She added:
"This book is filled with simple, comforting recipes that have allowed me to reconnect with myself and find both freedom and joy in my kitchen - feelings I never thought I could experience."
Lovato described One Plate At A Time as the cookbook that repaired her relationship with food and helped her view food-making as an act of love:
"It has allowed me to see cooking as an act of love and kindness to myself and those in my life, and I hope this book can bring that same feeling into your home too.”
Demi Lovato described the book as
“a big f*** you to my eating disorder.”
Lovato’s cookbook drops on March 26, 2025, and is available to purchase on preorder.
“I’m trying to learn body acceptance rather than body positivity": Demi Lovato stated as she talked about dealing with an eating disorder
In an episode of Podcrushed in October 2024, the 32-year-old singer revealed that she had ongoing eating disorder treatments.
"I have a treatment team that I work with that helps me stay in recovery, and I’ve been in recovery from bulimia for five, going on six, years now.”
The Heart Attack hitmaker added that she wasn’t caught up in trying to uphold body positivity and was learning to accept her body the way it is:
"I’m trying to learn body acceptance rather than body positivity, because body positivity feels like, ‘I can’t even reach that yet.’ I have a nutritionist and a therapist who specialises in eating disorders.”
In the Podcrushed interview with Gossip Girl alum Penn Badgley, Demi Lovato also spoke about being nonbinary and how she had been able to balance femininity and masculinity. The singer added that she had embraced both sides of herself.
Demi Lovato got married to artist/ songwriter Jordan Lutes in Santa Barbara on May 25. The Disney alum had been dating Lutes for three years prior.
