Dermot Kennedy 2025 North American tour: Presale info, dates, venues, and more explored

Dermot Kennedy is officially heading back to North America. The Irish singer-songwriter has announced A Promised Return Tour. It is a 12-date run of intimate shows across the U.S. and Canada, which is all set for October 2025.

The tour is scheduled to kick off in Vancouver on October 7, 2025, and travel through multiple cities like Los Angeles, Chicago, and Toronto before wrapping up on October 28, 2025, in Silver Spring, Maryland.

Tickets will go on general sale on Thursday, May 22, 2025, at 10 a.m. local time. However, fans can access presale tickets through Kennedy's mailing list starting Wednesday, May 21, 2025, from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. local time. Registration for presale access has to be completed by 10 a.m. PT / 1 p.m. ET on Monday, May 19, 2025, via the official website of Dermot Kennedy.

Dermot Kennedy took to his official Instagram page to share the trek announcement. He penned a long caption, which is as follows:

"I have dreamed of this moment for a long time. “A promised return” means so much to me. It's a lyric I wrote in a song recently, and in this context I love it because I feel so excited to return to you guys and see you again, but this is also a return to a feeling. These are the kind of shows I dreamed of before I had a career."

He continued:

"Just me and my lyrics, playing in quiet theatres, all of us getting what we need from the words. In the last 10 years, I still haven't come across a feeling better than that. I remember on my first North American tour I was just so grateful and couldn't believe that every day we'd be driving to a new city and there’d be people there who knew my music, and cared for it.

"This will be songs old and new, all played in a way you haven't heard before. I’m so happy and proud to have gotten to this point, and everything feels the way it should. As many of you who have signed up to my mailing list already will know, I have moved many first opportunities to access things over there."

He also added:
