Did Jebediah ever change their lineup? Band to celebrate 30 years with 'Thirty Odyears' tour and vinyl reissues

After three decades, six studio albums, and zero lineup changes, Australian alt-rock band Jebediah is officially celebrating its 30th anniversary with a national tour and a string of vinyl reissues.

The newly announced run has been dubbed the Thirty Odyears Tour. The eight-show run will take Jebediah across six Australian cities in October and November 2025. The run will wrap up with two hometown gigs in Perth.

In addition to their headline tour, they are also launching a series of special edition reissues from their back catalogue, including Slightly Odway, Of Someday Shambles, and their self-titled third album, on translucent vinyl, some for the first time.

Jebediah took to their official Instagram handle to share the tour and vinyl reissue announcement. The post read:

"Gang! It's a 30 Year Jebediah Party!!!!! To celebrate the fact that it's been thirty years since our little band formed back in 1995, Jebs are throwing a 30th birthday party and you are all invited! Jebediah became a band in the first place to play gigs so we are heading out on the road this October for our 30 Odyears Anniversary Tour, playing Adelaide, Hobart, Melbourne, Brisbane, Sydney, Canberra and Perth!"

The post continued:

"But wait, there is more! We will also be rereleasing our first three albums, (the Sony Murmur Years) on limited edition coloured vinyl, starting with Slightly Odway in translucent GREEN, which you can pre-order now! Tour tickets are live now via jebediah.net - You wont wanna miss this....LET’S GOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!"

Jebediah was formed in Perth in 1995. Their early singles like "Leaving Home," "Teflon," and "Harpoon" earned them attention from fans and enthusiasts. Their debut album was Slightly Odway. Over the years, the band toured with the likes of Smashing Pumpkins, Powderfinger, You Am I, and Jimmy Eat World. The group has also earned multiple ARIA nominations.

Notably, they have done all this without a single lineup change in all these years. Frontman Kevin Mitchell states:

"It helps if you have a strong bond with the people in your band and can easily remember the reasons why you started playing in the first place, which should be to have fun. Commercial success, if you are lucky to experience any at all, is fleeting, just like your time on this planet. Try and have some fun."
