The group released Our Little Visionary, its debut album in 1996 after Gregg Miller’s departure. Their next project Happy Ending dropped in 2000, after which the band split in 2002. After more than twenty years apart the band reunited in 2023.
In a May 2023 interview with Billboard, Keanu Reeves stated that he had been thinking of reuniting with his bandmates during the period that they were separated:
“I missed playing together, I missed writing together, I missed doing shows together. It’s something I’ve always missed. We came to a spot where we weren’t playing anymore, and I missed it … Once we started to play, and it felt good, and really positive and creative, that’s when it was like, ‘Okay, let’s make this happen.’”
The band’s first performance since 2002 was at the BottleRock Napa Valley music festival on May 27, 2023. They played a mix of some of their old songs from their 1996 and 2000 albums while unveiling new sounds from their album Somewhere Between the Power Lines and Palm Trees released in 2023.
The group launched a concert tour after the album's release and played at the Ohana Festival in Dana Point. They have also played other gigs since then.
