Doja Cat, Tems, and J Balvin are set to make history as performers at the inaugural FIFA World Cup Final halftime show. Gianni Infantino, president of the Fédération Internationale de Football Association, shared the news on Instagram on June 9, 2025.

Infantino announced that the halftime show would be organized by Chris Martin of Coldplay in his role as international curator of the Global Citizen Festival and produced by FIFA in collaboration with Global Citizen.

“I am delighted to share that FIFA and Global Citizen will collaborate for the FIFA Club World Cup Final Halftime Show to be headlined by J Balvin, Doja Cat and Tems on Sunday, 13 July 2025, firing up the MetLife Stadium in New York, New Jersey,”

He added:

"For the first-ever halftime show in a FIFA competition, we're proud to partner with @glblctzn to bring together a global superstar lineup. Together, we are going to make history on a special occasion where football and music unite the world."

Infantino added that the inaugural FIFA World Cup Final halftime show would support the FIFA Global Citizen Education Fund:

"FIFA and Global Citizen are partnering to support a powerful cause: giving every child the chance to learn, play, and dream. Not only that but with every ticket sold, we’re investing in their future through the FIFA Global Citizen Education Fund. This show will be unforgettable – not just for its spectacle on a landmark night, but also for the lasting impact it will make.”

The FIFA World Cup 2025 will be held in the United States between 14 June and 13 July across eleven cities.

The FIFA World Cup and FIFA Halftime Show aim to generate $100 million to aid child education across the world

The FIFA World Cup halftime show, to be headlined by Doja Cat alongside Tems and J Balvin, will support the FIFA Global Citizen Education fund, unveiled in April 2025 at the Global Citizen NOW Summit by Gianni Infantino and Hugh Evans, Co-founder and CEO of Global Citizen.

The initiative aims to generate $100 million for children’s education by deducting a dollar from every ticket sold for the FIFA World Cup matches in America.

Hugh Evans, at the unveiling of the Education Fund, stated that quality education was key to ending global poverty and that the FIFA Global Citizen Education Fund was geared towards giving children around the world a chance at a better future through education.

Grammy Award-winning artist, singer, record producer, and writer Tems, in a statement, expressed her excitement at performing at the historic event:

"We’re going to bring the world together for a beautiful moment – to celebrate football, feel the unity that music brings, and improve the lives of millions of children through the FIFA Global Citizen Education Fund. I can’t wait – see you at the FIFA Club World Cup final!”

J Balvin described the FIFA Halftime Show as a historic moment for Latin culture, himself, and every kid who dreams big.

The FIFA World Cup halftime show is scheduled to take place on July 13, 2025, at New Jersey’s MetLife Stadium.
